Welcome to my page-io. I hope you enjoy-io.
I prayed for many years that the suffocating grip of the Anglican church would loosen its hold on my life and the life of my family, but the answer to that prayer came in a manner that was completely unexpected. Rather than having captor free the captive, the Lord had it so that the captive would in fact free himself. Here in England I have been living a comfortable life for the past 39 years during which I have been placed here on Earth. However, what I want for myself and my household is more than simple indulgences- what truly desire is to see God's will acted out through my and my family's life. I have known for quite a long time that this would not happen under the rule of the Church of England, with it's ambitious nature and it's blatant ignorance towards the holy scriptures. Therefore I, among other faithful brother's in the Lord, have taken up the Puritan faith to further the establishment of the kingdom of God in our world. We plan to soon leave this country to a new land where we will find the freedom to build up our church upon more sincere men of God. In several days we will board the Mayflower, the ship that will bring us into the promised land. It seems to be more than mere coincidence that my family is in fact named Mayflower. I believe that the Lord has planned for this journey to commence before any of my family took in a single breath, this is what I am destined to do. I will set foot on this new land with all three of my children at my side- it would have only been two of them had my daughter, Elizabeth, not recently lost her husbands life due to poor working conditions. She will come as both my daughter and the widow of James Hopkins- and the carrier of his child. My son, Edmund II, is a strong willed and hard working 16 year old who will bring us all great blessing in the new world. We are both carpenters and we plan to build ourselves a sturdy and secure home in America. Finally, there's my beautiful 11 year old daughter Anne. She seems to never cease in drilling me with question after question about this place where we will soon go to live. The truth is, I probably have even more questions than she does.
